Three days

Well, three days will go quickly. Today I got a lot done relating to the logistics for the trip – packed the necessary USB-C, Lightning, Micro-USB, Magsafe connection cables for all the gadgets along with the Aussie wall socket adapters – it’s annoying that there’s so many different cables needed. Thankfully Apple is moving towards USB-C and my spare Android phone, headphones, Kindle Scribe also share the same connection.

Temperatures just north of Melbourne this coming week are great, as you can see 🙂 Late 30s to early 60s so exactly what I am looking for.

Also this morning, picked up a large bag of dog food so the pups won’t starve when I am gone :). This also fulfilled two of my shopping list items because I was able to pick up some things for Bruce’s dogs in Australia. Tomorrow I will be making a huge batch of dog biscuits, a slab of which I’ll be vacuum sealing and taking with me.

In other news. I was enjoying a quiet pint at my pub today and suddenly noticed the air conditioning was pumping out heat followed very quickly by toxic black smoke. Helped them shut down the various zones whilst one of the owners went on the roof to discover one of the four units had burned itself out. Fortunately no fire but it was a bit gnarly for an hour. On the plus side, Scott had just received a 30lb box of Alaskan salmon shipped that morning so I got a few vacuum sealed packs of fish – dinner tonight!
